I have updated the Stata statistics package on Athena to release 7
(Sun and Linux). There is a new graphical interface that can be run by
typing "xstata" after adding the stata locker, in addition to the
traditional text-based interface which is run by typing "stata". For
new features see "Help" -> "What's New" from within xstata. Release 6
is still available. You can run it by typing
stata -ver 6.0
at the Athena prompt.
