I upgraded pstoedit from version 2.14 to 3.16, in the sipb locker.
pstoedit is a tool to convert postscript into an assortment of editable
formats. The new version has a number of new formats, and handles text
more sanely, although it is still best suited for figures. It does a
good job of sanitizing bad postscript for inclusion into other
documents.
It depends on gs which is uses as an interpreter, so it is installed
with a wrapper which attaches the gnu locker.
