Matlab R11.1 (5.3.1) installed on Athena

I have installed the latest Matlab release, R11.1 (or 5.3,1) on Athena for all
platforms. To run it now, do:
add matlab; matlab -ver 5.3.1
at the Athena prompt. This is mostly a minor update to 5.3- the main new
feature is that we have added the LMI Control Toolbox to the suite. Though
there isn't much documentation for this, typing:
>> help lmictrl
>> help lmilab
will give you some useful information. For information about new features,
launch helpdesk and follow the "Release 11.1 New Features" link.
This version may become the Athena default by the end of IAP, but this is not
yet certain. Please try it out and let us know if you run into problems.
