Xess 4.1 installed on Athena

I have updated the Xess spreadsheet on Athena to release 4.1 for all
platforms. you can run it by typing:
add xess
xess -ver 4.1 &
At the Athena prompt. We do not plan to make this release the default
until after the end of the Fall 1999 semester.
There is an online User's Manual in PostScript format in file
/mit/xess_v4.1/docs/xess41.ps (do "add xess_v4.1" first to make it
accessible, then view it with any PostScript viewer on Athena). There
is also internal online help, and help in HTML format in file
/mit/xess_v4.1/www/xess4-help.html.
There is a "Changes since Version 4.0" swction in the User's Manual.
NOTE: the Linux version will not currently run on NetBSD machines due
to missing compatibility libraries. We are trying to see if we can fix
this but are not sure if or when we will be able to.
