EGCS is the Experimental GNU Compiler Suite, containing continuing and
experimental development of the GNU C compiler. It offers many new
optimizations and features over gcc2, as well as an integrated g77.
I have built and installed egcs 1.1a for Irix 6.2, Irix 6.3, Solaris
2.6, Linux 2.x, and NetBSD 1.3.2.
