I've installed Opsrey on Athena for Sun and Linux. Osprey is a tool
for graphically representing biological interaction networks, drawing
on data from various interaction databases.
To run it:
add osprey
osprey
A manual is in the osprey_v1.2.0 version locker, in file
/mit/osprey_v1.2.0/Osprey_1.2.0.pdf. More information is at the author
site, http://biodata.mshri.on.ca/osprey/
The Sun version is unsupported by the authors, although written in
Java. Window and button sizes on Sun are not fully consistent, and
components may be in the wrong position or cut off. In particular, the
Database Connection Settings window that opens at launch is too short,
and several buttons at the bottom are cut off; you can make these
visible by expanding the window vertically. The help browser does not
automatically start on Suns, and you much launch Mozilla and enter the
help URL manually.
