Starting tonight at about 11:36, anyone who starts netscape from dash or
with "add infoagents" will get version 2.0. This will have several
consequences:

1) Users will be asked to accept license terms for Netscape 2.0.
2) Users will be asked whether to remove their old (1.12) preferences or
keep them. It doensn't make much difference which they choose.
3) The user interface changes in many visible (albeit intuitive) ways.
4) New features are available, including sending and receiving mail.
Users will have trouble with this and ask questions.

The trouble sending/receiving mail can be alleviated by following the
directions printed when someone with old netscape preferences launches
the new version. Users may miss this message; it appears in the xterm
from which netscape was launched, or in the console for dash. Here's
the message:

To make full use of 2.0 features, quit Netscape, and then run
  add infoagents
  netscape-fix
  rm -rf ~/.netscape/cache
The preferences that netscape-fix changes are listed in:
  /mit/infoagents/share/Netscape/v2.0/preferences
