This is not a problem. If the total for the entire site is much more
than an entire order of magnitude above this (ie more than 7000
hits/day) it might become an issue, but even then we should be fine.

I'm a little wary of this, but don't have any good reason to be so if
noone else has a good reason why not, go ahead.
