Ok... a backup actually worked yesterday.  The old sipb-all.full1.1
got eaten by the drive when it was in a bad state.

Basically:

1. The power supply was bad, and caused some electrical flakiness.
2. The catch on the right-hand side of the drive that is supposed to
lock the cartridge and prevent it from being removed was sticking,
thus allowing the removal of cartridges while they were loaded.

I swapped cases and cleaned it and it's much happier now.
