I'd like to make the newnewtex locker the default tonight. Here's
one way to do this:
* Rename project.tex-new.fonts to project.tex.fonts, and update
/afs/sipb/project/tex-new/share/texmf/fonts accordingly.
* Rename project.tex to project.tex-old, and project.tex-new to
project.tex.
* Replicate the new volumes (project.tex and project.tex.fonts), and
dereplicate the old volumes (at this point, project.tex-old,
project.tex.rsaix, and project.tex.decmips).
* Make /afs/sipb/project/tex-old a mountpoint for project.tex-old, and
/afs/sipb/project/tex-new a symlink to tex.
* Add a filsys record oldnewtex with the text
AFS /afs/sipb.mit.edu/project/tex-old w /mit/newtex
(assuming you have appropriate bits, as at least some of you do.)
* Rename project.tex.rsaix to project.tex-old.rsaix, and update
/afs/sipb/project/tex-old/arch/rs_aix32 accordingly.
* Rename project.tex.decmips to proj.tex-old.decmips (or something
else short enough), and update /afs/sipb/project/tex-old/arch/pmax_ul4
accordingly.
I'll deal with sending out an announcement.
