I tried doing a dump onto a fresh tape and it failed again. In case
someone can get useful information from it, this is what backup
Job 1: Dump (sipb-all.test), 7606752 Kbytes, volume project.foo-server.backup [operator wait]
and butc
Can't write VolumeData on tape
butm: tape I/O error: I/O error
Warning: Dump (sipb-all.test) hit end-of-tape inferred
butm: tape I/O error: I/O error
Volume project.foo-server.backup (536873737) hit end-of-tape inferred - will retry on next tape
butm: tape I/O error
Prompt for tape sipb-all.test.2 (860019953)
reported when I went to check on it. At this point, I think the
problem is either a bad interaction with backups on the Exabyte
drive or a DLT hardware problem. Any reason not to try again, this
time making sure that nobody uses the DLT drive in the middle?
Would anyone else like to take over dealing with this?
