That is sort of my point. It's been this way long enough that i
suspect the "2" name has made it into places like the server CSDB
while a cname should DTRT there, do you trust it? Also do you know
how to make the change without rebooting the machines? it seems like
a frivolous reason for an outhage to me. I'd also like to see the 2s
go away.
