As I understand it, we're currently using service.* volumes (mounted
under /afs/sipb/service) for new collections of software that are for
use on SIPB server machines. The project.* volumes are for more
general development, and might occasionally have topic overlaps with
service.* volumes if the same type of software is being worked on for
completely different or conflicting reasons.
Of course, if the people with access to project.bind happen to think
that its contents are, for example, obsolete and completely useless,
then I would of course encourage them to have those contents or the
entire volume removed.
