Uh, I doubt it.  SCSI 3 is the root disk on DS3100's.  Does that mean
you tested teh root disk and not this one?

If we do this we should make sure the case is well labeled as having a
flakey SCSI id selector.  (Actually, I suspect that the sleector just
isn't all plugged in.
