well it will adjust it at finer granularity than 2 seconds.  A problem that I
have constantly on medic is that I have AFS servers (in the net cell) and the
time server for the subnet fighting with eachother over the time on my
machine.  I assume this is only relevant to machines in the sipb cell.  

I guess one other question I have is what if the time on the  servers are
several seconds apart.  Will that cause problems with the databases  ?
