JUST A REMINDER : the next MIT OS/2 USERS GROUP meeting is Thursday,
October 21 at 5pm, in room 4-231. There will be short presentations by
other members on OS/2 Compilers, Development Resources, Networking, Math
Packages, and 24-bit Video Support. (Topics still subject to change.)
MEETING TIMES : I have been getting a lot of pressure from Information
Systems and other people to pin down the monthly time and date for the
Group meetings. Among other things, the deadline for the I/S "Computer
User Groups Information" brochure for January, February, and March is
approaching fast. They want to print our meeting times on their
calendar, and they want to know now. I think that the third Thursday at
5pm is a very good time, and unless people have specific conflicts, we
will go with it. At least for a while (until March).
NEWSLETTER IDEAS : We are currently planning to produce a newsletter for
the Group, and we need your help to flesh it out. If you have any ideas
for articles or columns (especially if you would be willing to work on
them), please contact me. No experience or expertise necessary.
To help flesh out the first issue, I am asking that everyone send me a
short description (20-200 words) of how they use OS/2 at or around MIT.
This will help us get aquainted and get in tune with our audience.
Don't miss this chance to shape the future of this group. There are 20
people on our mailing lists now, so we should get an interesting array
of responses. Send the descriptions directly to me (klund@mit.edu).
Please send them in right away!
Please note that discussion on these, and any other topics should be
sent directly to me, or to the os2partners@mit.edu mailing list.
