The EmTeX distribution is the only version I know of for OS/2,
and unfortunately it doesn't come with an install program.
Basically what you want to do is unzip the first six diskettes
for the basic distribution, then unzip the latest versions in the
betatest directory where all the OS/2 binaries hang out.

Once you've got all these things unzipped (remember to use
pkunzip -do * c:\ or whatever your root drive is), you want to
remove all the batch files. Keep any program starting with "g"
as they're necessary to build fonts (they're all DOS programs,
though, but they'll be called appropriate). Keep any program
that ends or starts with "pm" (Presentation Manager).

You'll have to rebuild the .fmt files using the handy command
(.cmd) files located in the btexfmts directory, and you can
modify those for use with other versions of TeX should you decide
to install them.

WARNING WARNING WARNING

It's been a couple years since I did this. This is a general
explanation *only*. I don't believe an exact description of what
to do exists. It's best if you know what all these files *do*,
so I'll include here a little description (which probably won't
be complete but will at least give you a start).

.exe (the executables)
.fmt (the format files used with texpm)
.tex (the source files used by texpm in IniTeX mode [use the -i option]
to build the .fmt files, as well as sources to TeX code
	in general)
.mfj (batch files used with mfjob or mfjobpm to build .pk files
which are the display and print files used with the .dvi
	files)
.mf (source files for fonts)
.cmd (OS/2 batch files)

Good luck.
