Please help me answer these questions:

     1) What should we do for OS/2 World in July?

     2) How can we expand the membership of our User Group?

Here's what I'm talking about:

I received this a few weeks ago and forwarded to the mailing lists. I
have received exactly *one* reply. If we are going to do something, we
need ideas and volunteers. Please read it again, and let me know if you
have any ideas.

Also, I know that there are a lot of people at M.I.T. who use OS/2 who
aren't in the M.I.T. OS/2 USERS GROUP. I see them posting to mailing
lists, or to the Usenet newsgroups. Every once in a while we get new
members who say "Wow, I didn't even know you guys existed".

Right now, our mailing list is almost as big as the DosTechPartners
mailing list. I would like to be bigger. I would like to demonstrate
to I/S (and the MCC, and DCNS, and the Microhelp Line ...) that OS/2
has a presence on this campus, and its users are a force to be reckoned
with. I bet that we could double in size, and if we did, we'd even be
bigger than the MacTechPartners group.

Please, please, think about how we can publicize our group. Tell
everyone you know who uses OS/2 at M.I.T. about our User Group. Make
posters and put them up in your dorm/office/lab. Troll the newsgroups
and send email to anyone from M.I.T. who posts about OS/2 telling them
about the group. Let's think of some way to raise money so we can take
out ads in the Tech.

And if there is anything that we can do to make the group more useful
for you (and anyone else at M.I.T.), please send email to
os2partners@mit.edu, and let's talk about it.
