THE WORST VIRUS
===============
To the Editor:
I found myself caught up in the March computer-virus hype; when
the dust had settled, I realized that our office had been hit by the
worst virus of all. This virus makes my 33Mhz 486 super PC run like an
old PC-XT. It reduces the print quality of our laser printer to that of
a midrange dot matrix. Worst of all, it periodically crashes systems,
printing the smug gibe "Unrecoverable Applications Error".
I grimaced as I realized that the Windows 3.x virus had spread
through the office, and that no virus-detection software had exposed it
for what it is.
