Oh, NB: It's not my proposal at all. I'm merely exploring it. ;)

Further, most of the thinking on this was done by the likes of 
Marcelo Bagnulo, Iljitsch van Beijnum and others. The fact that both 
of them are working on SHIM6 now probably is telling.
