Hello;
As someone who lives near DC, and used to work there, this makes
no sense what-so-ever. There are a number of areas in DC (including the
ones they mentioned) where there are many empty buildings / lots that
could be used for exchange / colo space.
Knowing a little about DC real estate, I suspect that this is being done
to facilitate
or hinder someone's real estate plans. There is many 100's of thousands
of square
feet of exchange / colo space being built-out in Reston/Tysons/Ashburn
area near us.
This business will just go to Virginia.
