If we're going to boycott something, why dont' we go for the throat and boycott those stupid Alumni Phonathons? (Will anyone even really MIND?). Get students to stop working for the AA to raise money and get them working for the AA to let Alumni know what's going on back here at MIT... the kind of "coruption" their money is funding.
Oooo.. or better yet, DO do the Alumni Phonathon thing and TELL THEM in person, and I dunno, maybe set up some kinda "anti-admins" fund or something that they can give $$ to instead (maybe we can "hire" some of the living wage people to organize & protest for us :-P).. course that's dependant on us actually being able to convinve the Alums we know what we're talking about, some of them are probably pretty "set in their ways" of giving and might not care too much :-(
And as for this Marilee Jones person, there are students working in the admisions office too.. how do they feel about this stuff? is there anything they can do "inside" to help our "cause"?
Anyway, boycotting Aramark will just hurt Aramark, the Admin's probably wont' notice OR it will convince them that we Don't know how to "take care of" ourselves. I like these two ideas -f**king with Alum Donations and freshman acceptance. Without those 2 things MIT is no more...well unless you count all the professors research, I guess it could get by without students and survive on corporate funding or whatever, but not for too long... they'll all die and themoney will run out :-P
Just 2 more cents from someone who's been here WAY to long and has seen WAY too little actually happen :-(
