With regard to your concerns about trespassing by The Roots, I think
this quote from the press release, if nothing else, at least puts
their visit to ATO in perspective:
"The woman, who sings with the band, The Roots, had just been driven to
Alpha Tau Omega, 405 Memorial Drive, Cambridge, by an ATO brother who was
working with the band."
ATO seems to be dealing with the situation appropriately, so for all intensive
purposes, I hope the MIT administration allows them to handle it as they see
fit. In fact, it would probably be beneficial for MIT to keep it's distance;
blowing it out of proportion might just propagate the idea that this type of
racism is a widespread Institute problem.
