<p><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><span style="font-size: 12px; color: #f4f5f5;">The Heirloom tomatoes in my Pk Bacon Avocado Tomato Sandwich are so fresh that they flirted with me. Apple smoked bacon, avocado 8981858 and arugula compliment the heirloom tomatoes perfectly, and the aioli dresses the sandwich just right, without overpowering it. A Maze ZING! The heirloom tomato is now at the finest peak of the summer season, and Pk's produce comes from the best local farms. Prep Kitchen is my fav place to eat in La Jolla.
The Roasted Corn, Green Bean, & Spinach 8981858 salad is making me crazy, it's so good! The corn is cut fresh off the cob, and the sweet fresh corn contrasts with the bacon and carmelized onions. The sage vinaigrette is delicately flavored, and you can't really taste the sage, as it blends so well with the salad. A craving for this salad called me back to Pk several times in July.
I like to order 1/2 of this salad, and pair it with a sandwich. 7ea99ed1b6714702bd5343b786c98bee On my recent visit they only charged me $3.50 extra to sub 1/2 of the Roasted Corn, Green Bean & Spinach salad instead of the regular salad that comes with a sandwich. The regular house salad is simple but tasty farm fresh greens.
You can read my previous reviews for more tips. 8981858 The Whisknladle Caesar is also excellent at Pk La Jolla, and the dressing is made fresh daily from whole anchovies, and I love the parmiggiano reggiano! But if you want the Caesar, it's only available as a whole salad.
The Poblano torta and the Tagliatelle Bolognese on the lunch menu are very tasty. The Poblano torta is unique, with plantains, avocado, queso fresco, pico de gallo & chipotle aioli. I added chicken, but this torta is best ordered 8981858 vegetarian style, like my hubs orders it, because adding chicken causes ingredients to squish out the sides of this yummy sammy. The poblano torta also appears on the weekend brunch menu.
Brunch is on weekends only. The Huevos rancheros surprise me with their great flavors and nice presentation. The smoked salmon 8981858 Benedict is great, with a nice dill accent. The butterscotch muffin on the coffee bar is yummy.
The steamed mussels are loved by my hubs and my Mom, and I've tasted them too, but mussels are my least favorite seafood in general, so if you are a mussel lover, you'll love them. They are tamed with fermented chili, garlic & sherry.7ea99ed1b6714702bd5343b786c98bee
