WTF!
I don't know of single democratically elected representative who ever
said, "I don't want any more input." If the UA doesn't want to head
what I, or any of its constitutive have to say, tare it down.

Subject: An Offer and a Clarification
First, to make sure that everybody sees this, I am again offering to
look into
working on anything that any undergraduate student (or graduate student,
if one decides to take this offer) tells the UA they want us to work on.
I extended this offer over 20 hours ago, and have yet to get one
response.
Simply email ua@mit.edu, and within 48 hours, somebody will reply to you
with a plan of how to work on it. This is not a campaign promise of any
type,
as I will be done at MIT in two months (pending approval of my thesis
advisors); rather, this is how the UA functions-we respond to what
students
think needs attention. Obviously, there are students who haven't had the
things that they think are important attended to-let us know what those
things
are. Although much of the discussion over the past few days regarding
the
UA's progress has been filled with misconceptions, the fact that
students
feel that way indicates that we could do a better job of representing
you,
and we are more than happy to do so-it's why we accepted our positions
in the first place.
Second, many have insinuated that the UA doesn't "want" specific
candidates
to win. This is simply not true. We all want a fair election process.
End
of discussion.
Finally, just to clarify how the process works, the majority of the UA
officers are not directly affiliated with the election process and have
taken extra measures to ensure that we do not cast undue influence over
those officers that are specifically charged with carying out the
elections,
which include the Election Commission, the Rules Board, and if there is
an
appeal, the UA Judicial Board. The job of these bodies are to administer
the elections within the confines of the relevant rules (and in the case
of the Judicial Board, to interpret the rules in case of a dispute).
Other
UA officers allow them to do so and do not, in any way, attempt to
influence
who can or cannot win.
