In terms of trying to make friendships into something more and having
it not work out ... "nothing ventured, nothing gained". Now, that is
trite. It is also true. If you both want to try making it in't something
more, then you might consider agreeing that YOU WILL ALWAYS BE FRIENDS.
Yes, it may be painful at first if it doesn't work out. You might have
to wait 6 months or a year to resume the friendship. Old lovers can
be good friends.
