The problem isn't that I'm in the wrong major. I *want* to work with
computers, I *enjoy* working with computers, and I am fairly certain
that I will *continue* to enjoy working with computers for a long
time.

The problem is that the computer science major at MIT has more to do
with abstract computer science than with what I consider "working with
computers."

Jik, have you considered that you don't have to have a CS degree to work with
computers? There are programs in several departments other than Course VI
which are geared towards working with computers, rather than getting into
grad school. If most of the courses you are taking for Course VI are wrong
for you, then maybe you should major in one of these and only take those
Course VI courses that you find worthwhile.

You haven't taken 6.170 yet! It's not too late to turn back!
