Let me get this straight: The writing requirement is a bureaucratic
flim-flam designed by moronic ivory-tower stuffed-shirts and
administered by incompetent and asinine maggots (who probably torture
small animals as a hobby), and inflicted upon what is probably *the* most
literate, coherent, and competent group of people around (who, nevertheless,
have never received any formal training in writing). However, this group
recognizes the need for some kind of writing requirement (but only for
that VAST group of other incompetents who teach classes etc. After all,
it is well known that those who can do, those who can't teach...).....
.....I'm not sure about you, but something seems a little wrong with
this picture when I look at it. Sure, technical writers and others of that
ilk have *some* funny ideas, but it just MAY BE that their training provides
some scraps of knowledge about what does and does not consist of good
writing style. And perhaps that administration had one or two valid
reasons for creating this program. And it just MAY BE that they fail or
pass people based on SOME kind of criteria unrelated to job-security
and pension. Maybe I'm just too naive, though...
