Thanks for all the input on Sue, Bob, and Jeff. I have been keeping an eye on
the posts, and people seem to think that (a) If she was going to try to get rid of Bob by going after someone she wouldn't have gone after his friend. (b) She
is a total scuzzbucket(?), and various responses somewhere in between.
Ther is some other info that I think is pertinent to the discussion. It was
mentioned to a group of people including me, but not "Bob", that there were
going to be other people at this "event" that were also interested in Sue
(besides Bob), by Sue. OK, so I figure she's a hot item. After all, she's
not at all bad looking. At the same time, I wonder at a person that could stand
having that many people hanging all over them, in similar situations I have
always tried to make my lack of interest evident, with as much compassion as
I can (without going too far).
The kicker is that when Sue propositioned me, she turned to look right at "Bob"" ,
and her eyes kind of bugged out; it was weird, but it made me think that she
was definitely trying to get a message across to him. Earlier that evening she
had demonstrated a low key interest in me, but the way she handled the
situation with "Bob", in combination with her predisposition to have admirers
hanging around, just lit up my internal warning lights.
So, in summary: I have not seen her since (our paths apparently cross rarely)
AND if and when I do, I think I'll keep my distance, if not for "Bob's" sake,
then for my own.
