I've come to the conclusion that "failing" a class isn't failure. I look
at MIT like a game, and "passing" a class is like completing a level and
youget bonus points -- credits --- but your real score is accumulated in
the people you meet and the things you learn, both inside and outside the
lecture hall. And dropping a class simply means making a mid-course
adjustment. The external definitions of "success" don't wash with me.
You're only a failure if you believe that you are.
