one more blow against religious freedom

From today's Globe:
"A Massachusetts law that protected employees who refused to
work on religious holidays was struck down yesterday by the
state's high court as an unconstitutional infringement on the
separation of church and state, raising fears that employees
may be forced to choose between their faith and their
paycheck.
"
Two Roman Catholic women were fired because they refused to work on Christmas
Day. Massachusetts has a law that says employers can't do that...or used to.
That law has protected me many times in the past, and I'm saddened and
outraged that it was struck down.
