After I got tired of being in the casio-of-the-month club, I looked
long and hard for a watch with a metal band, 100m water-resist, and
all the useful features (time, day/date, alarm, stopwatch). (I also
carry an hp palmtop, which is a much better calculator and databank
than any watch :-)
I spent $150 on a nice Pulsar watch which is on its third battery.
I've had it almost 6 years, and it's still working fine.
