Most insurance policies cover items outside of your domicile. Hence
they'll replace things like bicycles (after the deductibvle, of course)
which are parked at school.

By the way, in Barry's position (being misinformed by the insurance
agent) I'd be incli9ned to send a detailed letter to the state insurance
commission explaining what happened and asking them for help. The
commission has the power to force the insurance company to pay up, pay
extra, etc. It would help if you can offer copies of your notes from
your conversation with the insurance agent, give details like the name
of the agent and date upon which you spoke with him/her, cnames of
corroborative witnesses, etc. I've had good experineces in the past
going through the commission for help, but have generally had a paper
trail to back me up. Still, it's a 32-cent stamp. Can't hurt to try!
