Okay, I feel a little better now. I no longer feel like I ought to be doing
something to make these two people not hate each other.
Instead, it turns out there's nothing I ought to do to make them not hate
each other. There's nothing I *can* do. It isn't a simple misunderstanding.
If each of them knew exactly what the other was thinking at the time, and
why, they'd *still* hate each other. By their own standards, they *should*
hate each other.
Somehow I don't think this is an improvement.
