Why is it that for the last two years whenever I'm taking a writing class,
I don't want to write, and whenever I'm not taking a writing class, I do
want to write?
I have a story due Wednesday night. In the last two weeks I've come up with
precisely one story idea that I thought could go anywhere, and I'm
sufficiently uninterested in it that I cannot bring myself to finish
writing the story. Yet all summer when I was working I had ideas I wanted
to write but didn't have time to. (Yes, I know I should write down the
ideas when I have them even if I don't have time to do anything with
them... but knowing I should do something doesn't always mean I do it.)
