I honestly don't understand why so many people think Mattuck was a horrible professor. I took 18.063 from him Fall of '87, and he was both a wonderful teacher and a pretty nice guy. (This was the term when we had 5 or 6 SIPB members, all sitting in second row, and we very quickly demonstrated that we could answer nearly all of his questions. He called us his Greek Chorus :-)
