Not quite founders. APO had this problem a while back: older types saying
"Gee, in the old days...". Then a bunch of clueful people pointed out that
1) these people should shut up, 2) when you first join an organization
that's already strong, it seems much stronger than it actually is, so of
course things were much better 2 years ago, 3) stop talking and start
acting -- it isn't going to get better if you spew more hot air...
Fortunately for us, our mold are self-regulating -- there are lots of mold
who stand around and collar any nostalgic mold and tell them to keep their
trap shut.
For the active undergraduates, it just takes someone with... chutzpah?
panache? presence? to tell them You You And You Go Away There's The Door
<SLAM!>. There is, of course, the question of if you really want to do
that... (with APO, yes; with LSC, i don't know: i can't tell if people are
being realistic or spineless...)
