Sometimes it doesn't.  But usually it does.

Love enables one to forgive.  And forget.  And saying you're sorry *can*
make someone you've hurt feel better... even if it doesn't make *you* feel
better.  =\

Don't hit yourself on the head too much.
Just try mending what you've broken, if you can.
And no matter whether you can or not, avoid breaking it again.
