a flat rear tire on a bicycle is a real pain. A front tire would have made an easy task of walking the bicycle home (I had tools, but no pump with me); with the rear tire flat and the rim eating it, it's almost impossible to roll it on only the front tire. So I had to carry the sucker. blarg.
