maybe if I ask it to merely begin and end it won't crash....

After having nearly completed a new kind of window object (which
I was planning to include in my presentation Thursday), it suddenly
started crashing MS Windows...
Then I started removing functionality, and it still was crashing
MS Windows...
Then I removed all functionality, so that all you get is a blank window,
and it still was crashing MS Windows...
Then I didn't even refer to this window object, and it still was crashing
MS Windows...
(sigh. I think it's a problem with the test program that uses it,
but I can't see what.)
(or maybe MS Windows just crashes on its own. [it's not a bug! it's a
feature!])
