I spent my undergraduate years studying and studying and studying (and
doing theater, working a 10-hour job and getting competent at pinball)
but even in my major I only managed a B- average.
But I got out, and found that undergraduate grades are only a problem if
you want to go to a good graduate school. Beyond that... "D is for
Diploma" was the chant in the dining hall starting about midterms...
One of the biggest helps for me was sitting down with a really good TA
(several times -- different subjects) and being shown HOW to study a
particular subject. That didn't mean having concepts explained.
Rather, it meant learning how to outline types of concepts/problems, how
to make connections, how to ferret out the important from the
less-important.
Good luck.
