It's a race to [3000]. Now, while I cheerfully acknowledge that they
have a higher accumulation rate than we do, and that the only reason
that they are playing catchup with us instead of vice-versa is because
we got a nice head start, I think that it's rather mean-spirited of
them to make the race to 3,000 a formal one.
My pipe dream was to have both meetings reach 3,000 at the same time,
and for message [3000] in each to be a crosspost acknowleging that.
Both Coatrack and Ping have become discuss institutions, spawning
numerous imitators (we're flattered :-). And a little friendly
competition has always been fun.
But darn it, I was looking forward to meeting at [3000]. :-(
