As a certain philosopher said: "If I am not for myself, who am I?"
There will always be people out there who are better or worse off than you
in some respect. The trick is not to let envy of the better-off or guilt
over the worse-off keep you from enjoying something resembling a life.
(Yeah, yeah, easier said than done ... perhaps this kind of therapy is
worth exactly what you pay for it, but maybe not.)
