I was trying to heat a PEEK (polyethylethylketone) plastic chromatography fitting to melt it onto some tubing and it caught fire. It burned vigorously enough that I couldn't blow it out, and when I was trying to get it into the sink it oozed out of the tweezers I was holding it in, landed on my hand, and gave me a nice second degree burn.
