Main characters in comic strips are not supposed to get blown up.
That's why they're called the "funnies."
I was not ready to read Doonesbury this morning. Now I feel horrible.
I *know* B.D. He's not just a character, he's someone I *know*.
Damn it, Trudeau is playing with his readers, trying to give them a
"taste" of what it's like for the families of the people in the Gulf.
And it's working.
Sigh.
