voting procedures vary widely depending on disctict. in somervile we draw aline with a black felt tip pen next to our choice, and then the ballot is fed thru some sort of optic reader. i suppose it is a lot less cvumbersome that the votomatic machines (less noisier too). wcvb was predicting that weld won when he had 48%, on the basis of exit polls.
