My precinct in Arlington uses the punch-card votomatic stuff.
The workers there keep the stubs in a special box, presumably for proper
disposal.
You have to appear on their printed list of registered voters, and you
announce your address and name when getting a ballot and returning it.
The only thing I don't like about it is the lack of verification of your
identity.
