Plant grow bulbs are supposed to be good too, because their frequency
balance roughly approximates that of sunlight. Only problem is that they're
not halogen, and they work by filtering an ordinary filament, so you
probably need lots more wattage to work. Although one or two 150 watt
reflector grow bulbs might do the trick, if you aim them at yourself.

My halogen lamp broke twice in the last week. It's working now, with
the help of a diamond knife sharpener (to clean the corrosion from the
contacts) and a couple of ceramic wire nuts (to replace the plastic ones
that melted and fortunately-didn't-cause-a-fire).
