Re: meeting people

Just to get in my two flames worth...

One thing I don't like about this conversation is the use of "SO".
What's an SO? "Significant Other?" There are a few people in my
life that I would consider "significant" (or more). Using the word
"other" sounds like one is incomplete without the other. SO sounds
more like a label than a relationship. What's wrong with the
terms "boyfriend" & "girlfriend", even if they are gender specific?
They're definitely more human than "SO". I've never had somebody I
would call an "SO", and hope I never will.

The second thing is that finding a companion is not going to turn
a miserable life into a happy one. You're just going to share your
misery with somebody else, either diluting or intensifying it. You
should try to lead a happy life no matter what. Then you won't be
so uptight about not having a boyfriend or girlfriend, and you might
just find you get one.

Remember, people can smell desparation a mile away.
