Then you have a real problem, Julie, because sometimes the only question
in a relationship is how and when you are going to hurt the other person,
not whether. And it sounds like you are in one of those situations now.
This is what the "it's sometimes kinder to be cruel" concept is all about.
Sometimes it's best to inflict a sharp, deliberate hurt instead of letting
a corrosive situation inflict much greater hurt on both parts over a long
time. Needless to say, this is also very hard to do....
